About Dia North
I’m an author, entrepreneur, and independent researcher focused on human–AI collaboration and the ways people can think, decide, create, and work more effectively with AI.
My work sits at the intersection of research and practice. Through Hybrid Mind Group, I study long-form human–AI interaction while also developing practical ways for experienced professionals to use AI as a thinking partner—not as a replacement for judgment, expertise, or responsibility.
Why this work
I became interested in human–AI collaboration by doing it.
What began as practical use of AI for writing, research, business, and problem-solving gradually became something larger: an opportunity to observe how sustained conversation changes the way people frame problems, recognize patterns, develop ideas, recover context, and make decisions over time.
That experience led to the Hybrid Mind Continuity Corpus, a longitudinal research archive examining continuity, provenance, interactional adaptation, and sustained human–AI collaboration.
It also led to Thinking with AI, the applied side of the work: helping people develop a transferable professional skill for thinking well with AI across tools, roles, industries, and problems.
Background
Before Hybrid Mind Group, I built businesses, worked across technology and communications, and wrote two traditionally published nonfiction books.
Across those different chapters, the recurring thread has been the same: making complex things understandable, useful, and human.
AI has made that work more important—not less.
